RSS and RSS feeds

Rss and Rss feeds are new to me. I had heard of it but not put it into practice. I already had a Bloglines account and blog that I had set up as part of a university assignment. I used this bloglines account to attach my rss feeds to. I have attached a number of feeds such as
ABC news, ALIANET: LIS Jobs, Dilbert, unshelved, weather etc. RSS is a great way of getting the information you want and it solves the problem of having all these emails clogging your email account. I like it!

Something technology related this week

This week I have explored Flicka, set up an account at Flicka, added photos, and explored a mashup - Big Hugh Labs - where I have made a trading card. I added a tag to the trading card and it can be found at librariantradingcards. Hopefully you can see it there in 24 to 48 hours.

7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners

I am ok with all the habits I think. I believe we never stop learning while we are alive and who knows what happens after that! I'm good with goals, responsibility for own learning, seeing problems as challenges, creating a toolbox, keeping up with technology and I love to teach and mentor. I'm 52 and currently studying my last university degree subject. I also like hobbies and my latest is soap making. I've been making handmade soap for about 5 years and it is great fun. I have soap making demos. at my house and show my friends.
The habit I have some difficulty with is confidence. I wish I was more confident. I sometimes don't try things because I think they will be too difficult. The habit I'm most proud of is seeing problems as challenges. I like a challenge - if it's not too difficult!!!

Introduction

So far so good. The program looks interesting but I hate the accents. I've done a blog before using Bloglines so blogging with Blogspot is a new experience. I hope to meet some real challenges through this course.
